Answer version history with switchable branches
Regenerating an answer or editing a question no longer discards the previous version. A version switcher appears under the message, so you can browse every version and jump between them. Switching to an earlier version brings back all the messages that followed it, and you can keep chatting on any branch. Every branch is preserved and remains switchable, including after a reload.
The version list shows each version’s model, timestamp, and a preview, and marks how many follow-up messages switching would restore.
Editing a question now keeps the original wording as a switchable version instead of overwriting it, and regenerating an answer mid-conversation visibly trims the messages that followed — they stay available on the previous version’s branch.
